



I’m Sahar Albazar, an Egyptian Member of Parliament serving as the Deputy Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee at the Egyptian House of Representatives and the Chair of the foreign affairs committee for the Egyptian Majority Political Party Mostaqbal Watan.
I’m the founding member & Chairwoman of the Ubuntu Parliamentary Initiative for Climate Finance and an elected Executive Board Member for Parliamentarians for Global Action in New York.
Previously, I was the Elected President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Forum of Young Parliamentarians and I was the founding member and Elected Chair of the Women Parliamentary Council of the Parliamentary Network on the IMF and World Bank.
In 2022, I was named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum & selected as a World Fellow by Yale University. In 2024, I became an Asia Global Fellow at Hong Kong University and was selected as an Obama Leader representing Africa. I hold a Master in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School.
