I’m Mervat Abou Oaf,  a professor and former head of the Journalism and Media Department at AUC

I‘m specialized in media law and holds a Ph.D. in film legislation. I advise the Egyptian Chamber of Cinema, represents it in the Egyptian Federation of Industries, and is a National Council for Women member.

I have coordinated international press at the Cairo International Film Festival, judged at the National Film Festival, and serves as a trustee and media advisor for the Awladna Foundation. Recognized as a “Cultural and Arts Ambassador,” I advocate for culture’s role in societal development.
